Striking Arts Karate

A Modern System with Traditional roots

We build martial artists, not just fighters.

For over 25 years we have been producing martial artists of the highest caliber. We instill the core values of traditional Okinawan karate (Respect, Discipline, Honor, and Integrity) in each of our students along with a dynamic and proven striking curriculum that has been constantly refined for more than half a century. The result is capable, well-rounded martial artists who stand out from the rest.

How it Works.

Students train twice per week in intensive hour-long sessions with a full GI and belt. Classes typically consist of a warm-up routine followed by flexibility training before engaging in curriculum work where they will spend the majority of class time. Here students will work on developing their skills, techniques, and combinations with the utmost emphasis on effort, technique, and application under the watch and direction of the instructor. Classes often end with supervised sparring or traditional kata, though sometimes entire classes are dedicated to either skill.

Earning Rank

Testings are held quarterly. Each active student is constantly being evaluated by their instructors and will be notified of eligibility to test approximately two weeks before the test date. Eligibility to test, as well as passing the test, is never guaranteed. Our standards are high and students are expected to meet the standard of their next potential rank without exception. After a successful test and upon approval from the board of instructors, said students will receive their next rank during a promotional ceremony.
