You booked a trial class — great. Now the practical question: what do you actually wear? Here is the simple guide we give every new student.
For a first class in any program, comfortable athletic clothes work fine: a t-shirt and athletic pants or shorts without zippers or pockets that could catch fingers. Training is barefoot on the mats, so no special shoes are needed. Remove jewelry, tie back long hair, and trim fingernails — your training partners will thank you.
Bring a water bottle and arrive about ten minutes early so we can show you around and introduce you to the instructor. That is genuinely all you need for a trial.
Once you enroll, each program has its own gear. Karate / Taekwondo students train in a full gi and belt. BJJ students use a gi for gi classes and rashguard-style athletic wear for no-gi. Cardio Kickboxing members use hand wraps and gloves, which we can help you pick. But none of that is needed on day one — just show up ready to move.
